
ABOUT OUR LOCAL FOUNDATION
The Rotary Club of Chambersburg Foundation is proudly devoted to improving the quality of life of all members of our local community by focusing on supporting local organizations that provide direct assistance to families and individuals who are most financially disadvantaged and in need of financial aid, especially local need-based efforts to assist our children.
Grant applications are due April 1, 2026 and funding is subject to availability. Learn more about our grants and the application process below.
GRANT REQUESTS
The Rotary Club of Chambersburg Foundation board reviews requests and renders decisions annually. Applicants may be asked for additional details to assist in the review process.

The Foundation does not support administrative expenses.

Requests for support of specific individuals will not be considered.

Applicants must include details in their submission explaining how they will recognize Rotary’s support of their project.

Successful applicants (or their designee) are expected to present a brief overview of their project to the Chambersburg Rotary Club at the time of their check presentation.

Get to Know Us
The Rotary Club of Chambersburg Foundation is a 501(c)(3), a federally tax exempt non-profit charitable organization established for the purpose of granting money to charitable causes in the Chambersburg area. The Foundation is governed by a volunteer board of directors comprised of members of the Chambersburg Rotary Club.
Funds are received from individuals through contributions, bequests, and private donations and from fund raising activities of the Rotary Club of Chambersburg, including the annual Chicken ‘N’ Stuff chicken BBQ. These monies are used to fund grants for community projects being implemented by local charitable and non-profit organizations. Typical grant amounts are less than $2,000. Funding decisions are based on how well proposed projects align with the current mission statement of the Foundation, shown above.
Local organizations who have received financial support during the past two years include United Way of Franklin County, Stevens Elementary School music teacher, Whole and Holy Integrated Wellness, Andrew Buchanan PTA, Franklin County Literacy Council, the Christian Life Church, Habitat for Humanity of Franklin County, Totem Pole Playhouse, DownRight Perfect, the Chambersburg Ballet Guild, Chambersburg Council for the Arts, Healthy Kids Running Series Greene Township, Cumberland Valley Breast Care Alliance, the Conococheague Institute, the Chambersburg Area Education Foundation, and the Franklin County 4-H Therapeutic Riding Center.
The Foundation also provides scholarships to students in the Chambersburg Area Senior High School from donations received from private individuals and from the Rotary Club of Chambersburg. These scholarships have included funds for books and materials for post-secondary education, one-time nursing scholarships, four-year education scholarships, and scholarships for dual-enrolled high school students to pursue college credits at our three local colleges and universities.
