Mackenzee Rush and Robyn Guarriello were recognized as the Rotary Club of Chambersburg “Students of the Month” for March 2016.

Mackenzee Rush, a senior, is being recognized at a high-achieving student in all subject areas, challenging herself with college prep, honors, and advanced placement courses, manifesting in a marvelous 4.82 GPA. Along with her academic success, Mackenzee is active in many extracurricular activities including Drama Club, Glee Club, Choristers, National Honor Society, Mu Alpha Theta, and National Spanish Honor Society, where she holds an office. When she is not busy with her numerous school activities, she volunteers her time with her youth group at Chambersburg First Church of God, participates in Girl Scouts, and works at Chambers’ Apothecary. In the remainder of her spare time, you can find Mackenzee in nature, hunting, fishing or swimming, depending on the season. She plans on attending Penn State Main Campus, going in undeclared to explore her academic interests of English, History and Music, and eventually earning a PhD.

Robyn Guarriello, also a senior, is being recognized as a high-achieving student across all areas of study, resulting in an outstanding 4.80 GPA in college prep, honors, and AP courses. Not only does Robyn excel in the classroom, but participates in many activities like National Honor Society, Mu Alpha Theta, Student Government and Track and Field. She also challenges herself musically, manifesting in her first chair alto saxophone seat in concert band and her current status as drum major for the marching band. Robyn balances all of these school related activities with her job as a Cashier at TJ Maxx, working toward her Gold Award in Girl Scouts, and attending Corpus Christi Catholic Church. For some extra fun, she has competed in Moody’s Mega Math Challenge! Her plans for the future include attending a university to study computer engineering to continue learning about her favorite subject of mathematics.
