Benjamin Champion and Maggie Myers were recognized as “Students of the Month” for March 2017.

Benjamin Champion is being recognized as a high-achieving student in all subject areas, challenging himself with college prep, honors, and advanced placement courses resulting in an amazing 4.70 GPA. In between one of his favorite hobbies, studying new subjects ranging from mathematics to literature, Ben participates in a number of clubs, including Symphonette, Academic Competition Team, and National Honor Society. He also displays his leadership skills as Vice President of Symphony, President of Physics Club, and Copy Editor of CASHS Collections. When not at school, Ben holds a job at Family Care Services, a foster care and adoption agency, plays instruments like the guitar and ukulele, and tinkers with computers, whether it be programming them or building his own. Benjamin plans to attend university, major in physics, with a possible double major in mathematics, and continue his education at the graduate level, eventually culminating with a research position either in academia or industry.

Maggie Myers is being acknowledged as a high-achieving student across all areas of study, with a marvelous 4.82 GPA in college prep, honors, and advanced placement courses. When Maggie is not studying her favorite subjects’ calculus and physics, you can find her in the band room tooting on her trumpet in Jazz Band, Steel Band, Concert Band and Marching Band or during private lessons. You might also find her out on the softball field, as she plays on both the CASHS Varsity team as well as a traveling softball team. Maggie somehow has the time to be an active member of National Honor Society, Mu Alpha Theta, and participate in her Youth Group and volunteer her time on Sundays at the Chambersburg First Church of God. Although yet undecided on her future college, Maggie plans to major in Secondary Education with a concentration in Mathematics.
